Bluebee

Bluebee was founded in 2011 by an international team from the leading universities Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands) and Imperial College London (United Kingdom).

BlueBee offers a secure global bioinformatics platform to process, analyze, share and store genomics data. BlueBee develops tailor-made data solutions that are ISO 13485 and ISO 27001 accredited and meeting GDPR and other global compliance requirements, for diagnostic assay manufacturers and service laboratories running high-throughput genomic assays. BlueBee supports end users in clinical diagnostics, therapeutics, and research with a shared mission—to power precision medicine.

In 2016, Korys co-led the series A investment round of Bluebee based on the premise of an overall expansion of sequencing activity in both research and the clinic, increasingly decentralized and with an associated data processing challenge.

Convinced about the value of the platform and the strength of the team, Korys increased its stake in the company to become the largest reference shareholder.

As a key actor in the governance of the company, Korys strongly supported the leadership of Bluebee during business development, fundraise and exit activities.
